collage exercise with sanne
i showed my vision board and my graduation instagram page, which acts as a live collage and journal for me

conclusion | i liked the fact that she saw a lot of what my research is about and what my life revolves around. it is a pretty accurate way to describe it and exactly what i wanted to portray.
conclusion | i found interesting that she said it was about capturing moments as i didn't see it exactly like that, more as a bigger picture, and i like that idea, it think i could include that in my research
conclusion | i also found interesting the fear of life insight, because it's exactly right but i didn't think of it.
what starting points do you have for a graduation subject and what still needs to be researched?
I managed to narrow it down to two general topics, the new French Revolution, and body justice. I think I want to do a bit more research so I can make my decision by the end of the week and focus on an experiment that will help e gain more insights. I also know which brand I want to work with, but I need to do a lot more brand research to define why my topic is relevant to the brand.
I think what it all comes down to is I need to narrow my topic down and then go broader once I have a definition of what I want to do: target group research, experiment, interviews, surveys…
feedback
- i should look for 2 very different brands to collaborate with both topics i narrowed down to, it could give me a clearer idea on what the problem is. narrow down topic but look into new brands
- maybe i need to think of a more independent brand or designer with a strong message
- i have a good social context, but i need to find how to strongly put it in a fashion context
- maybe find a brand that used to be very political and that could use this movement as a push.
